The proof is in the icing.

I received this cake today from my good friend, Andrew, who's asked me to all but one high school dance (surprisingly, the one I'd really wanted to go to) and with whom I've had sort of a will-they-won't-they thing since we were thirteen. He only asked in front of me and my best friend, Jess, so it was an Event, but not an obnoxious public affair. It was pretty adorable, and I obviously said yes.

Sadly, later today I was asked by two of my other good friends, and it was really depressing to say no. They're all so fun and sweet and entertaining. WOW. When did my biggest problem become turning down dates?! I'll have to bookmark this blog post to reread when I'm feeling like nobody likes me. I have PROOF! In ICING!
Hahaha. It's sad, Rohan, but just so true.

This cake has to be the sweetest thing I've seen in a long while (no pun intended).

I've been feeling almost the same way lately. Like finally girls like me but for the first time I don't like them in return.

However, my problem of "the girl who I like never seems to like me" persists.

But congrats on the date and the self-confidence! It's a totally sweet thing he did and now you get a cake. :]

I hope you have fun at the prom, that cake invitation is a promising start.

You rock hayley, I'm really happy you started this blog, because I enjoy it very much, and of course your videos too. I watched a lot of vloggers on the Tube but you are still my fave!
Have fun at prom, but that will be okay if you are going with a guy who gives you a lovely cake!

Cripes, that's just too sweet. It makes me wish for a moment that I weren't running prom so that I could have the date, arriving later than 4pm, not stressing out experience. Mind you, British boys are too much trouble and I like obsessively organising things.

Enjoy that cookie. Gosh I'm hungry.

That is so sweet! (I really didn't mean that as a pun.)
Unfortunately I go to an all girls school and so I am forced to ask my boy to prom but that's a smart idea your boy had. Use food.

Have fun at prom!

Oh boy, Hayley, do I feel bad. When I read the part about "when did turning down dates become my problem?" I immediately thought of Bella in Twilight.

So sorry so sorry so sorry! <3

I actually laughed out loud at today's sexy/unsexy. Bravo!

At first glance I thought the cake was asking you to prom... cake prom. They dance and have fun but then later a sponge cake gets drunk and fools around with a jelly and doesn't use protection. Icing gets everywhere and before you know it they've got a baby trifle.

HAHA ^this comment made me literally lol. Baby trifles, I ask you...

Just to let you know, I am totally taking notes.

So you're from Ohio huh? I did not know that. Not that my opinion of you changes - I actually don't know anything about Ohio. I just remember Marge Simpson going "OhiYA MAUDE!" into the phone one episode. This is the sum of my knowledge of Ohio, although according to you apparently there are farms there.

American trip is in the "maybe next year" stages by the way. My sister lives in California so I visit her sometimes.

Two boys come up to you at the same time and one has a cake and one has a Chipotle burrito. Written on each item is "Will you go to the Prom with me, Hayley?" Who would you choose?

The 'sexy, unsexy' parts of your entries always make me think of 'good idea, bad idea' from The Animaniacs.
