She's so hot, she's making me sexist.

The title has nothing to do with this post. It was literally the first irrelevant sentence that came to mind.

Anyway! So now you've met Jess. The funny thing about her (well, besides EVERYTHING; her natural hilarity makes my best efforts look bad) is that, when she asks how you're doing, or what you've eaten recently, she's asking because she genuinely cares. You know how some people make it totally apparent that they're only asking you questions so they have time to think about what they're going to say in response? My best friend has such a pure and kind soul that she just honestly cares. I normally suppress my urges to devote this entire blog to the adoration of Jess, so I'll spare you from here on. But. I am wholeheartedly grateful for the opportunity to have someone so vivacious and compassionate in my life, and I'm glad you got to have the tiniest glimpse of her in yesterday's I'm-too-busy-hanging-out-with-my-boyfriend-to-write-anything post.

Speaking of The Situation, I had a wonderful weekend. Without exaggeration, his hometown is the one of the most adorable places I've ever been. Dark green grass, rolling hills, grayish sky, little shops and nonfranchised restaurants, rows of pretty houses in muted colors. His house is just as lovely and inviting as his mother, who made cinnamon rolls in the morning and put fresh flowers in a vase next to my bed. Oh my goodness, and she is beautiful. It's almost laughable how attractive their family is. If this were 2008 and I had less respect for myself, I would make Twilight comparisons.

On top of that, his dad is friendly (and handsome), and he made me laugh more than once... and The Situation's sister is just plain awesome. She puts hot sauce on Ramen noodles and makes fun of her brother and is incredibly amusing in the Ginny Weasley way. I'm still half expecting to wake up from Dreamland and realize that the past three days didn't happen, and that there is no perfect man with a cute family in a cute town who's somehow in love with me. I am far too lucky and did nothing to deserve such a beautiful life.

On that note, I'm caught awkwardly between Exhaustion Township and Homeworksville, where people labor their way through essays, sprinkling unnecessary adverbs haphazardly, in the hopes of filling enough space, and where they make nonsensical jokes, like pretending Exhaustion is a proper noun. So before I can bring up any more parts of speech, I'm going to leave you. Until tomorrow, readers!

I'm sorry if it makes me seem uncultured in the area of nail polish brands, but when I see ORLY all I can think of is that owl meme.

Sounds like you had a SUPER time! We missed you yesterday, but it's also nice to hear from your friends, and she seems pretty awesome!

That is hilarious...haha.
I quoted that on Twitter =D

Glad you had a good weekend, Hayley.

I'm glad you had such a great time this weekend! Just keep that image in your mind when your drowning in all the essays and work. It'll be like your...lifeboat? Or not...

Aw, that sounds so perfect Hayley, especially the flowers beside your bed thing. So nice.

I'm so happy for you! It's weird. I used to be jealous and roll my eyes at people who would rave about their awesome romantic lives, but now that I have one of my own, I'm always smiling about other people's happy stories or public displays of affection rather than scorning them.

Anyways, YAY! You totally deserve it. :)

You're so beautiful, you could be a waitress. Or an air hostess in the 60's.

I'm happy that you've found Mike. You deserve having someone as awesome as that in your life. Also, I love Jess too. Have her blog more often? =)

I think I'm now the only friend who's ever earned a "best" that hasn't written a post for this blog.

HDU, HAYLEY. HDU.

(<3 I'm glad Miketown is awesome.)

I saw that The Situation lives in upstate New York, and because I do too I can't help wondering if he lives close to me! It's driving me crrrrazy.

So, hot sauce on Ramen sounds so intense that I kind of want to try it.
Also, you're awesome for having the kind of friendship that you do with Jess. I can honestly say that I don't know a single person personally (those words look strange together, but I'm too tired to make this sentence work) that can say they have a friend that dear to them. The loyalty and brain-wave-connection that the two of you share is absolutely commendable.
You should go have a fantastic day. (:

It sounds to me like, as well as a wonderful boy friend, you've also got a fantastic family supporting him. I know a lot of people who are incredibly gleeful for you, but also a tad envious. You're one lucky woman, Hayley.

hayley. if this were a facebook post, i'd like it. and not in that "i'm acknowledging this by liking it because i'm too lazy to actually say anything" way, but in the "i'm liking this because i like it so much that i literally have nothing else to say about it besides how much i like it, and it's too bad facebook doesn't have a super-like button because it would definitely come into play right about now" sort of way.

... i just wanted to let you know that.

I stopped reading when you started gushing about your perfect boyfriend's perfect family in his perfect town.

Thanks for reminding me just how awesome it is going to be when, you know, I'll be seeing Flight of the Conchords LIVE next months.

Oh, and I adore Ginny Weasley. She's a rolemodel of mine. She's funny, sharp, intelligent, brave, doesn't take crap from nobody, she's fair - has a good sence of justice and she sticks up to herself and her friends. I recently reread HBP and I noticed that she could be a bit mean to Ron, and I would have loved to have seen some more family loyalty, but on the other hand, I guess Ron often kind of deserved it.

Thanks for blogging every day, it's nice. I think I will comment on all of your posts - you always make me want to say something. Also knowing that you read all the responses and actually care means something.

Also - anonymously dissing someone is so cowardly.

I'm so glad you had such a good weekend, Hayley!! I don't mind hearing about you and Mike at all because it's always cute and always balanced with other interesting, unrelated things in your blog. Ignore the haters. :)

Sounds like an amazing(and that's still an understatement) weekend. Also, I don't think that people ask "Hey how you doing?" to they need time to think up a response; they ask it because they have nothing else to say - sometimes they don't even wait for a response, it's just something that automatically slips from their mouth.

Awwwww! Which town? My parents and I go to this small quaint town every year in Cape Cod, (called Woods Hole), and it's absolutely adorable. Along with the town just next to it, (Falmouth), it has small shops, and biking abilities, and it seems like everyone is just so connected. Wow, cliche. Well, glad you had fun!

Hayley, you have such a fun life.

Don't get lost in Homeworksville, it's a shifty, shifty place.

You make central New York sound so attractive lol.

My best friend and I used to be extremely close, and nothing will ever change how much we love each other, but it would be lying to say we haven't grown apart. I know we can work through it though, because we're like sisters, in that she can't stop being my sister just because we don't talk about everything the way we used to. That's a comfort : )

That is a really awesome way to describe a family.
