First, a comment from blog reader Tara: "I live in Canada, where we don't even HAVE Chipotle, so the few times I can get them while in America is bliss. I was in NY recently with some people from my university, and I saw a Chipotle and said we had to eat there no matter what. This guy we were with ordered the bowl because the burrito "looked too big." This of course prompted the rest of my friends to do the same thing. What could I do now? Be the only person who ordered the "HUGE" burrito and look like a fat ass? Dejected, I ordered the bol."
Tara, that is one of the saddest things I've ever read. If I had human emotions, I would be crying right now. All I have to say is that if for some reason we ever run into each other in New York, I will buy you a burrito, and a beam of sunlight will crack through the gray clouds and all will be right in the world.
Also, commentor Eliz pointed out my misuse of the word "effect" in my last entry, in the most adorable way. Hahaha. The whole Grammar Fairy thing has somehow made me look really cocky and insane. I do not think less of specific people for poor grammar! I hate when huge, flashing business signs contain unnecessary apostrophes. I am not a scholar, and I make a ton of typos and brain-os alike every month. In conclusion, Eliz, your comment made me smile, and I'll watch my "effects" next time. :)
After the incredibly long sermon, during which my sister and I whispered how much we wanted corn on the cob (me) and how out-of-season corn on the cob is (her), we received our assignments for this year's Royal Family Kids' Camp. My "buddy counselor" is--YAY!-- a friend of mine, Erin, and one of my campers goes to the elementary school in my district. My choir often toured to her school, and I already adore her. I'm all kinds of excited!
In youtubely news, I posted that unseen fiveawesomegirls video from two weeks ago on hayleyghoover today, and you get a chance to see Andrew, the boyfriendthing, in his natural environment: reading Shakespeare. I've received an enormous amount of comments about him, calling him either A) hot, or B) funny, as per his fake accent. I can't really argue against A. He's cute, yeah. B, however. Um.
Guys, that's not a fake funny accent. Guys, he's not foreign. Guys, he just... talks like that. Sometimes it's totally attractive and hilarious. Sometimes I want to smack him across the face with something hard and sandpapery and shout, "Stop being a character and act like a person!" Really, Bella Swan-- the whole "from another time" thing is not fun. It's just annoying.
Sigh. Oh well. My graduation ceremony is tomorrow. I'm not really looking forward to hours upon hours of '09 bonding in the sweltering heat, but I suppose it's just a rite of passage. Or something. If it's too miserable, I'll just tweet the heck out of the whole experience. Wish me luck/@reply any fun ways to pass the time!
Chipotle burritos this year: 21
(^Enjoyed with the lovely TOLauren, after mistakenly inviting 5AG Lauren through a text message typo. The latter Lauren, whose birthday is tomorrow, I will be seeing/hugging/loving on Wednesday at the Moaning Myrtles show in Akron, OH. Come!)

Your blog entries always make me smile =]
I can't wait for the show on Wednesday, see you there!

We are SOOO playing the clapping game during graduation. ;)
Good luck at graduation tomorrow! As I have mentioned before, I am so insanely jealous of you graduating. Being stuck in high school sucks so much, as I am sure you definitely know by now. Also, I'm totally craving corn on the cob now. Think anyone sells it precooked at 10:00 PM?
Honestly, I don't like the burrito. I just don't like tortillas. So I get the burrito bowl every time, and usually end up buying another one that I never finish. Have fun at graduation, my school's graduation this year featured the 2009 class adviser breaking down in the middle of his speech.
It's probably not safe to comment about how I've never been to/seen a Chipotle before, huh? haha
Yay tweets! Your tweets, as well as your blog entries, never cease to make me smile. :D I get them sent to my phone, also, so I can enjoy you at stupid-deception-school.
/stalking
Are you kidding me? I would've gotten the burrito and made orgasmic faces/noises at every bite or waft of the glorious delicacy. Onlookers would feign disgust simply to hide their overwhelming envy.
"something hard and sandpapery"? Is that a liamkylesullivan reference by any chance? :)
After reading your blog for months, I really need to have Chipotle. I know, I'm awful. I'm just cheap and lazy! The website is cool, and now I know there is one less than 5 minutes away from my home. *headdesk* To be fair, it's in a mall, a place I don't frequent. That is going on my list! Complete high school, go to Chipotle...
Congratulations on your graduation, as much as you don't want to attend the ceremony. But you did finish high school, which is a major feat in and of itself! Woo!
Oh Miss Hayley
I Feel so left out because I am corrently a foreign exchange student in Chile. So I am unable to obtain such fabled to Chipotle.
I graduated highschool a semester early this year. I feel slightly bad for missing out on my graduation ceremony in my highschool, but I will get to go to a chilean graduation ceremony, which I believe will be fun.
Oh and with Andrew, Next D&D game ask to join and be a player. He will find you to be amazing if you actually join in on his roleplaying hobby. No serious you should do it, It can be fun and you can connect with him and tug at his heart strings at the same time.
I'm thinking you should eat a burrito during the ceremony tomorrow.
Or you could, you know, graduate.
Every time I read your blog I want to run to Chipotle and purchase a burrito. But I can't. And life continues to tease me when I go into friends cars and there lies a Chipotle cup, or when I'm in the grass somewhere and I see an abandoned Chipotle napkin on the floor,
IT IS A FORBIDDEN LOVE.
Have fun at graduation! Bring a beach ball or something.
I love reading your blogs. I get seriously excited when I see you've posted a new blog entry.
I'm going to that show on Wednesday :) I can't wait. I don't think i've been to a wizard rock show in a library since 2007.
For my last birthday, my 21st, my mom made me a giraffe ice cream cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was THE greatest cake I've ever had.
It really relieves me that you don't think less of a person if they have bad grammar. Good-bye spell check!
I would love to come to the show if you could, if it's not too much trouble of course, move Akron to Australia. :)
But a glorious thing recently happened in Australia, John and Sarah came out and did an event! It was possibly the best thing to ever happen here. I really can't think of anything comparable.
So now I don't have to be ridiculously jealous of every American who gets to see him all the time. Yay!
Good luck for your graduation tomorrow Hayley, I'm sure it will be bearable, if not better than that. Fingers crossed!
Oh, and Australia is not blessed with this so called "Chipotle".
If you could do something about adding Wizard Rock and Chipotle to Australia during your ceremony it would make the day better for both of us!
I also have a boyfriend thing called Andrew. *freakymusic* My sister also pointed out that they look a bit similar too. Though I;m not sure how well mine would go reading Shakespeare! Have fun at graduation! =)
Hahaha, thanks Hayley.
I'll hold you to that. ;) :D
You're lucky you don't have to be around me if you occasionally feel like slapping people who talk funny.
I talk like a big black man.
I'll be able to hug Lauren on her birthday. How jealous are you? =). Fun thing for graduation, try to convice as many people as possible to set the alarms on their phones to go off at the same time during the ceremony. I'm going to try and do that for my class next year.
I had the most intense discussion today at work over the correct use of "than" or "then" in a sentence...it got extremely heated and some things were said...what a mad world we live in when grammar causes such quarrels! Personally, there's a point when I don't see the point of it anymore...
I'm glad you finally introduced us to the boyfriendthing. He's kinda not what I expected, but in a sort of good way. It's not like I thought he was a loser or anything, but yeah.
When I graduated we all snuck silly string under our robes and squirted (do you squirt silly string? hmm) it all over the football field when they announced our graduating class.
I have never had chipotle and I never thought I would be missing out on much. It seems somewhat like crack. (I don't do drugs. It's just a poorly chosen metaphor) I don't want to start eating it, because I'm afraid if I do I won't stop and will end up looking like Gilbert Grape's mother.
So he talks like that normally? He must do it a lot because it sounded pretty good.
Hayley I have a Public Service Announcement for your Canadian, well, Greater Toronto Area readers. There's a Chipotle in Toronto at Yonge and Dundas Square. As far as I know thats the only Chipotle in Canada so far but they have plans on opening more soon.
my graduation was today and i was sincerely dreading it. however, it was not as long as i expected it to be. actually, it was, but time flew by. that sounds dumb, but it was seriously so quick.
hopefully the speaker at your graduation won't go on and on about how significant the number 9 is and then tell you that 9 x 7 = 72 because that is just wrong.
anyway, good luck! don't trip!
yay '09 bonding! (sarcasm. i'm with you - i'm ready to GET OUT.)
Dear fellow commenter Tara: Since we're both Canadians, I say we write a petition to bring Chipotle to our desolate nation!
This blog is driving me crazy with all of the chipotle talk. I want to try it, damnit!
I live in the US and the closest Chipotle to my house is an hour away. I only know this because I just put it in the Google box.
When you first mentioned Chipotle, I thought it was a specific style of burrito (as in, with a chipotle sauce or something). *hispanicfail*
A good friend of mine has a boyfriend who talks just like Andrew. It's all low and snazzy sounding. We always ask him if it's his real voice and he just looks confused, like he had no idea that his tone is just a little bit strange.
I just had corn of the cob yesterday... and yes it was totally out of season and not that great.
Good luck with graduation...I'm sure it'll be better than you expect it to be.
And I have never been to or even seen a Chipotle...in fact, I'd never heard of it before reading your blog. That's what being in England does for you
Love your blog as always
<3
love'd you blog yesterdayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Akron! OMG! I live oh so close to there! Man, first the Duggars come in my area and now Lauren! I can't even get there seeing as I'm 13 and license deprived. Please tell me how awesome her show is!
Yeah, I was sure i saw a chipotle sign in downtown Toronto a week or so ago. So I wasn't imagining it! I'll have to make sure I'm hungry next time I walk by there. Hope the grad ceremony goes better than you expect, and the wrock show and the meeting with Lauren are as awesome as humanly possible.
does the boyfriendthing not know about your blog? i feel like if he's going to steal the honor of being the boyfriend thing he should know about all the little parts of hayley.
and if he DOES know about your blog ... ouch. hahaha
gah, I need to go to a Chipotle. Stupid Scotland. =/
Your blog always makes me really crave a burrito. >_<
first of all, WTF I COULD HAVE SWORN I WAS SUBSCRIBED TO YOU. annoying. welp now i am.
i haven't watched the video yet; youtube is being a reet today and taking forever to load videos. i'm excited to see boyfriendthing's edward cullenian accent. speaking of, have you seen the new moon trailer? thoughts? for me, any coherent ended when taylor lautner's muscles exploded onto the screen. WHAT. WHERE WAS HE HIDING THOSE I THOUGHT HE WAS LIKE EIGHT YEARS OLD.
hanyway. you make me ridiculously jealous with all your chipotle talk. i can't wait to go home and try it ahhhh. yay graduation! :D
are you coming to azkatraz? (hint: say yes)
i like verbing nouns but i haven't quite moved on to nouning adjectives.
coherent thought*
although i suppose that just proves the point i was making...
"That's just his voice" I know it probably wasn't meant to be funny, but I laughed because I pictured you saying it...and it was just funny... >_< It kind of reminded me of Juno where Juno's saying the guy who got her pregnant's gf is giving her the stink eye and he says that it's just her face.
Best way to pass the time is to plan out a book. Of course you have to be careful and still listen for your name.
"I'm not really looking forward to hours upon hours of '09 bonding in the sweltering heat"
hahaha that one made me laugh out loud =]
anywhooo im looking forward to your commentary about graduation for your blog tomorrow
**have a sparkling day**
<33
I agree with A and B. The boyfriendthing IS pretty cute and all. And the accent is funny. Even though it could probably get annoying after a while. Anyway, I approve. [=
Hey Hayley I just surfaced from reading everyone of your blogs. It was fun, and enlightening, and I think I officialy want to be your no.1 fangirl.
Hayley you are awesome, and I <3 you.
So I just thought that I would let you know yesterday I was eating lunch in Philly at this pizza place, and all of the sudden I saw that there was Chipotle dipping sauce. I had never had Chipotle, dipping sauce of otherwise, and I wanted to thank you for opening up my eyes to the world I was missing. Without you I may never of have found the wonders of Chipotle.
Eh...
What IS a chipotle burrito?
I'm not Amish or anything, just Irish haha.
Hayley, do you ever not find ways to have major amounts of fun?
I saw one of your tweets from the ceremony and it reminded me that I had not checked your blog on Sunday. I do oh so enjoy each and every update.
ahahaha, i think his notfake accent is adorable, actually. i can see how he would get annoying, but overall, i approve of le boyfriendthing.
which i know matters so much in the scheme of things. my approval, that is. xD
Wow, high school over. Im across the globe, so we finish in December. Are you sad to go? I mean, I know you are being quite off hand about it all, and it sounds like 'college' (is that what Americans call uni?) is going to be mean, but do you have any regrets? Is there a little bit of Hayley G. Hoover that might like to stay put?
I cant wait for life outside of high school, but Im still going to be sad to go. It is a boarding school though, so its like leaving my second home and never coming back.
