All the Ladies Checkin' Out My Sugar Lumps

Five things that always make me feel better:
1. Spending any amount of time with Jess. We went to our park after school to eat, be delinquents, and play The Lion King on the slide. Yeah... the US government recognizes us as adults. Yikes.
2. Junk food, though I wish it didn't.
3. Sitting in the library's magazine room and reading through Cosmopolitan. It's one of the few things that can totally, completely relax me.
4. "Shut up, you're awesome, go to bed"-style texts from Sam Friedman (isnoggedharry).
5. The sheer creativity and ability of the fiveawesomegirls. We're pretty talented. I don't care how conceited that sounds, because it's incontestable. Go wish Liane (lianeandthemusic) happy birthday (twenty-one tomorrow) on her channel!

I feel guilty for painting Andrew (the prom date) in such a bad light last week. He's a great guy, and I sort of took out my hatred for school functions on him. While dissing Chipotle docked some serious Cool Points from the kid, I still might, like... get on that. If you saw him on our local television Jeopardy-type show, you'd understand. Trivia is hot.

Something else that's hot? Once again, yesterday's blog comments touched me in a way only blog comments can. I don't know where you guys got the twisted idea that I'm some kind of good person, but your encouragement, however undeserved, gets me through. Love goes out to Samantha, Leah, Indigo (is that your real name? Tell me it is. That'd be so cool), Leesa, Nokorola, Pippa, Allison, Melissa Kendra, Hayley_leesha666, Vuraaa, SnakesAndWorms, Dan, Krazy_4_Kelly, BriannaBean, Joy Isobel, an anonymous reader, Britty, A.J. James, Nicholas, Hema, lanna-lovely, another anonymous commenter, Louise, VicMorrowsGhost, The Blazing Snow, partyweetow, Treasonably Reasonable, hfm, Kate, Amber, intothesunshine, Mina, Graham, and Larangutang. Those in bold get extra shots of love, as their comments made me want to punch through my screen with outstretched, flailing arms, and hug them.

Sexy: The confidence and ability to win a TV quiz show so fast-paced that it leaves my simple-minded mouth agape.
Unsexy: Men who wave the tortilla and order a burrito bol at Chipotle. Don't get me wrong-- I'm a fan of the bol. But come on, men. Eat more than I do. For God's sake.

Chipotle burritos this year: 18
Subscribers: 15,970
Days left of high school: 10

Bye, guys! Hopefully I'll see you tomorrow. <3

I wonder if you'll hit 50 burritos this year. It can be like Kristina's Book Club, but you can like... win.

Hahajajaj love the title(: when i saw them in concert, wen they did that song, they literally went out into the audience and shoved their junk into womens faces. Bret stood on top of a womans seat so she like had no choice but to look at it. It was one of the funniest things ive ever seen in my life(:

Seventeen magazine always calms me down. I doodle on people I don't like and drew about fifty million hearts around Nick when it was the Jonas issue. I'm not obsessed with the JoBros but Nick is way to friggen' cute to ignore. I'm subscribed for two years. :)

P.S.
Your blog brightens my day. Even though we've never talked, I think you're the coolest girl ever. You make me laugh on every post. Thank you.

Slightly offended at my lack of boldlove. And, like... rrrrr. We should... never mind. Rrrrr.

I like your blog I like you the end.

Flight of the Conchords ftw, do you watch the show? If you don't, you should. NOW.

Burrito bowls are made of awesome, but I'm definitely way too much of a tortilla fanatic to ditch them.

The following is totally random:
Since I just finished and loved the Megan McCafferty series you told us to read, I want to return the favour by recommending one of my favourite books. "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathon Safran Foer is amazing, and that's all I want to say about it, because going into plot detail would not give the book the justice it deserves.
I hope you read it if you have the time, and I hope you like it!

This is kinda depressing, but I used to have a friend really close to me and your description of you and Jess reminds me of that friendship all the time. But we were stupid and kinda stopped being good friends. It's good to know that you're not stupid like I was.

I need a Chipotle burrito now.
Your welcome (:

Music about sexually frustrated German schoolboys and people dying of AIDS (and green girls and psychotic holding-it-together families [Next to Normal]) always cheers me up. ^__^ That, reading this blog, the silver doe chapter of Deathly Hallows, and struggling with my flute (it's a love hate relationship).

Hayley, you're made of pure awesome. I swear, every happy blog entry puts a smile on my face! :)

So...
Why is bol spelled like that? I've never been to Chipotle (gasp!) and I don't know any Spanish. But, really? Is that really the Spanish word for bowl?

Adolfo said...

Burrito Bowl?

A burrito just isn't a burrito without the tortilla.

There is nothing wrong with playing in parks that time forgot. Just saying.

It's actually not my real name, my mother tells me no to use my real name online. So I went with what I wished my name were :D

Yay, a mention lol. That made my day.
If you like Andrew then maybe you should go for it. The only person who matters is you.
Fast food always make me happy, I wish it wouldn't but it's my only vice apart from Jaffa Cakes. Ok, that's two lol.
Is it sad that I sit and watch old 5AG videos for fun? I hope not.

Have a great day Hayley.

Things that make me smile:

-The passion that practicaly leaps off the page when you discuss chipotle.

-The love you show people who read your blog (even though we don't read it to be nice, it's just that awesome)

-And of course, the blog itself :)

I love reading the comments on your blogs. The people who comment always seem to have something interesting and insightful to say.
Okay I decided against being creepy and am just going to finish by saying that, Jordiekins, Hayley can so eat 50 burritos this year. You're closer than I am in reading 50 books. This is too long, I'm going to bed. :o)

Five things that make me happy,
Reading this blog, I almost pout when a day goes by with out an update from the perspective of one HGH...
Movies, I can not begin to explain how diving into a film or series of films completely calms me on even the most ridiculous of days...
Reading, something about losing my self in other worlds, no matter how different or similar to mine they may be.
Making someone else smile, I spend the majority of my day at work or in public trying to make others smile, for no reason...
Youtube... This is sort of a selfish reason, but no matter how down on myself I am at any given point, it takes very little search on the tubes to find someone less attractive than myself.(which trust me is no small task)
And as a special bonus I have the most adorable little fluff ball of a kitten, she can be obnoxious as all get out, but damn if she isn't adorable...

I was just watching TV and realised you look a lot like a host / designer called Sally Dominguez.

Man, every time I scroll down to leave a comment, I read all the other comments and they say exactly what I want to say, but waaay more eloquently. So in case you decide to read the comments from the last to the first this time:

You're way too awesome and we all want to be your best friend. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is an amazing book, you just might eat 50 chipotle burritos this year, your blog is such a great part of the day and all the people who leave comments are awesome.

Trivia is hot. I love when people know random intelligent facts. Freakin gorgeous.

Thanks for the comment love in this post - I'm one of the anonymous commenters that sadly couldn't log in yesterday hehe.

Hope you're having a marvellous day!

Not only do I always get the tortilla, I get the optional guacamole too.

I look at it this way: If I can't get anything done at work, at least I know I/we made you hug your computer. Good enough for me as a day's work :D

Three things that make me happy:
-Completely ridiculous video messages sent to my phone from my friend that make me burst out laughing wherever I am, creating awkward social situations.
-This music video to Don't Trust Me by a guy that attends UCSD. http://www.vimeo.com/4476270 I love that a YouTuber made a music video that is so much more amazing than the official one. (He had to move it to vimeo... removed for copyright on yt, shocking, right? ha.)
-Although I hate being predictable, I'm also going to be honest and say your blog. Poignant at times, hysterical at others, you're one of a kind, Hayley.

I definitely wanted to comment on yesterdays blog, but I didn't have a computer so it was kind of difficult. I was only able to read it on my phone.

I admire your courage, Hayley. You may be thinking, "what courage?". I admire the fact that you are not afraid to stand up for your beliefs even to your own family. I wish I could be as courageous as you are. I am not. I disagree with my family the majority of the time, but since I'm too afraid of them to openly state my beliefs and disagree with them, I just rant about it in a blog. I am a cowardly fool. You, however, are quite an amazing person and I enjoy your blogs and hearing your opinion on things.

You're so lucky to have a best friend (or several, as I think you mentioned in one of your blogs earlier this year). Jess suonds AWESOMAZING.

Leesa said...

The title made me smile as well. I had to find the song (yeah, I am that old). And I think you are the best part of 5AG.

Hayley_leesha666 said...

When i saw your title i literally laughed outloud! hahah
also if being an adult means one can no longer act out childhood disney classics atop playgroud equipment... then i would rather die!

abbs866 said...

I'm in a bad mood and came back to read your blog again because it always makes me smile.
Not to inflate your head or anything, but you're an amazing young girl. You're witty, funny, compassionate, and strong. You throw just the right amount of humor in to make me laugh, while addressing the somber Catcher in the Rye growing up stuff, too.
Thanks. Sometimes I'm not sure what I'd do without this blog or your videos.
(Okay, that was awful and sappy but I hope you know what I meant. It's just been a rough day - and it's only 8:45 AM!)

Sara said...

your title almost made me burst out laughing, which would be inappropriate as I am student teaching in a room where the MCAS (large standardized test) is being given... thank you for that, I am so very bored.

Becka said...

Ok, seriously. Every time I don't comment, you do a shout out. I'm starting to take it personally, to be honest :)

I think you're awesome too!

One of the things that should make you happy? Knowing how awesome you are.
Coz we all know it, and love you for it. :)

haaa. I'm guessing this is you:
"Ben: Thanks to, who is this here? Thanks to Harley Hoover from Peninsula, Ohio for sending us pickles. Paper pickles with each of our names on them. That's very, very kind of you."

Aaah Hayley...I love your blog.

It's actually one of the best things about my day now that exam stress has set in.

After seeing you write constantly about Chipotle, I have finally bothered to Google it because I had no clue what it was...and now I am jealous that I don't live in America, because I think there's one in London over here and nowhere else, which is sad times.

Jesse said...

I sometimes get sad when I read this, because I remember how delicious Chipotle is, and I miss it. If it weren't for my weak digestive tract, I'd be able to have it more often. CURSE MY INABILITY TO PROCESS THE FOODS OF THE GODS!

A shout-out in bold made my heart warm =) Thanks Haley, and keep being you!
