"Hello, Misty," he's currently saying to my little white dog in the kitchen, where he is making me tea, without having been asked. "You are the product of hundreds of years of selective breeding to produce small dogs," he tells her scientifically. "Your ancestors are wolves. They are badass. And you, Misty, smell bad." This one-way conversation is truly representative of Sebastian's character, which is why I've pulled myself away from MS Word long enough to record it in a blog.
It's later now, and I'm still working away. I'm really happy with what I've accomplished today. I'm sitting at the neglected dining room table (the last time I was in here, without joking, was to write video scripts with the awesomegirls. Liane sat where I am now. By the way, ladies, we still haven't made one of those videos....), playing with the 1970s tablecloth pattern, and praying there will be a day when I see my book between covers, instead of this chaotic abyss inside my mind. I have serious issues with the idea of posting any excerpts here, but maybe someday I'll read a little bit aloud on BlogTV.
Speaking of BlogTV, thanks to all of you who came to my impromptu show last night. I had no idea it went for three hours (time flies when you're talking about Degrassi), and it made me reconsider the idea of doing shows more often. I was just beaming all night from the lovely @replies I received about it, and I am in love with this video response. Thank you!
Sexy: Matt Maggiacomo.
Unsexy: This guy named Anthony Maggiacomo I found on wikipedia just to complete the joke. I really have no idea whether or not this guy is sexy. Just laugh, dammit.

I second that whole 'I should do more blogtv shows more often.' That would greatly add to your awesome level, even though you're awesome level is already at maximum.
Oh, by the way, I finally did the 10 song iPod game thing. Yes, I am a procrastinator. My results:
1. Voice Mail #1 - Rent [Original Broadway Cast]
2. Finale - Wicked [Original Broadway Cast]
3. Spiderwebs - No Doubt
4. [I actually got Finale again, but I won't count it.] Seasons of Love - Rent [OBC]
5. Your Eyes - Rent [OBC]
6. What is this feeling? - Wicked [OBC]
7. Take Me or Leave Me - Rent [OBC]
8. Another Day - RENT [OBC]
9. Tango Maureen - Rent [Movie Soundtrack]
10. Happy New Year B - Rent [OBC]
Yes, I have the entire Rent soundtrack on my iPod.
Last night on BlogTv, you said that reading your blog and not commenting is a crime. So here, for your reading pleasure, and to ensure that I can go to college and not get locked up, is a comment. Enjoy. :)
I wish I could push myself to write a novel. I've tried and failed so many times. Maybe NANOWRIMO?
Science is cool, NOT turning 5AGscripts into 5AGvideos, not in the slightest. [GRRR] GET ON THAT SHIT. [/agressiveness]
had loads of fun at your blogtv show, you should definitely do more of those.
Have a nice day, hope to see ya tomorrow!
<3
Oh, and watch some Doctor Who, you won't regret it.
Hayley, I really admire you for writing a novel! You are such a writer though, and I know that you'll succeed
I seriously hope that you do get that novel finished and published, because I'm dying to read more of your work! (I mean, this blog is satisfying, but I need some Hayley Hoover that I can carry around in my handbag and read whenever, wherever). That sounds semi-stalkerish, so trust me when I say that I'm not a creep, I just think you're a brilliant writer.
I must admit that your blog is the only one that I always feel like reading. And I hope I get to read your book(s) someday soon.
I wrote the introduction to my memoir today.
My memoir that I haven't written that I assume won't be published for a few decades, at least, if the publishing company even survives that long.
Because I'm cool like that.
I feel awesome by association right now. Ryan (the video response maker) is a friend of mine and part of my collab channel. And seeing him mentioned in your blog feels almost as good as if I were mentioned. Does this make any sense? Is it wierd... probably. Oh well.
BTW, you totally should do more live shows. I'd come!
Hayley! :D I am blushing ear to ear right now, although I've never heard that expression and it may be hard to tell because black people can't blush. Excitement. Not that anyone could tell behind these Courier New words in blog comments. Anyways! You are so awesome and I hope you're able to get more hayleyghoover brainwaves onto MS Word. Oh happy days.
You should definitely do more BlogTV shows. I found out about it way late and was only there for the last 10 minutes or so, and was really sad that I missed it. But now that I hear it was 3 hours long...you're fully excused. I guess this just teaches me to not be on Twitter (I am now...).
You should do BlogTV shows more often! I was watching for probably a half an hour before I REALLY had to tear myself away and go to bed, but it was really cool and a lot of fun!
Also, I totally love the description of what you do while writing your novel. Particularly the running around the room clapping part. I think I might have to try that next time I sit down with my novel. I get the impression it increases creativity exponentially.
I will be first in line at my bookstore to buy your book Hayley Hoover. I'm very upset with myself for missing the BlogTV awesomeness, and that is all.
Oh no! =( I missed one of your blogTV shows AGAIN! I always seem to be JUST missing them, which makes me a sad panda. I hope that one day I'll actually catch one of your blogTV shows and try to soak up the awesome oozing from my computer monitor, lol. Anyways, good luck with your novel! Your blogs are always a wonderful read so I'm your novel will be incredible =)
I'm laughing, I'm laughing *holds hands up in surrender*
Ok, I'm inspired to go off to writing my novel. Thanks! <3
Now all I have to do is stop writing fanfiction from the perspective of a daughter of a bipolar mother. This'll be hard...
Gahhhh I'm SO disappointed I missed your BlogTV show!!!! So you should definitely do more ;)
And that link to Misty's pokemon brought me back to the days when my brother and I would get up early before school and watch pokemon on TV, haha. DFTBA!
Very sweet of him to do that. Goshers he sounds lovely. :)
Does your book have a title as of yet, or do you have any title ideas?
Speaking of Degrassi, I saw the opening of Spring Awakening tonight. It was so wonderful. Jake Epstein was absolutely amazing. That's basically all I can say about it right now because I just loved it that much.
Running around clapping and muttering to your self so you can write--wow high school honors a/p English really messed you up.
Whenever I can't decide what chapter to include(?) huh, oh that was you.
I come back to it later-when something makes me smile. For instance, tonight while I was trying to outrun the Police
Errrr I mean, I went for a drive to escape the heat from my home and it's broken a/c, I thought of the first sentence that I wrote here.
Get to the POINT! Wow quit interrupting!
In a while the right chapter will make you smile and that's the one to publish.
:)
I only stayed for a bit of the BlogTV show, and by a bit I mean at least 30 or 40 minutes. I enjoyed it, especially when you talked about pizza rolls since those are kind of an addiction of mine . . .
I just somewhat came up with an idea for a novel. Well... I came up with a conversation that I thought would play out nicely in a plot. I just need to figure out who's having the conversation, and why. I might try penning it for NaNoWriMo, but I really don't feel like waiting that long to write it/making myself write it in such a short amount of time, but I'm confident this will be a project which will be able to capture my interest for a while.
/rant.
AND MAKE THOSE 5AG VIDEOS! ...No pressure.
Yes, definitely do more BlogTV shows because I missed that last one. Also, when you finish that novel of yours that you've been working on so diligently, you'd better tell your blog readers about it. :)
And the people took to their keyboards, filling the air with a cacophony of clicking keys, "We want more HGH BlogTV" their fingers cried..."We want more HGH" their brains screamed..."We want Hayley G Hoover all the time" their lips softly mouthed. And on the one trillion six hundred and seventy-nine billionth day Hayley G Hoover started her blog and it was awesome.
Officer Hoover, please don't arrest me! I want my comments to be thoughtful and sometimes humorous so I don't comment every day, but I do read it religiously !
From all I've heard about Sebastian, and from the blogs for you which he wrote, I am really rather excited about seeing his 5Awesome Boyfriends video on Thursday :]
Wow.
You are awesome.
I can't believe you can actually sit still, and unscramble your thoughts long enough to write them down. I tried writing a novel. I didn't get past the fourth word. Sad.
"They are badass."
Ha ha. That was hilarious. After everything I've heard about Sebastien, I'm really excited to see him in Tursday's video.
My sister's watching Degrassi right now. Ha ha.
Well, Happy writing!! ^^
I've been trying to get in the habit of commenting regularly, because you've said that you hate it when people read and don't comment. Unfortunately, I am really boring, but I'll try. For you, Hayley.
I am so relieved to find out that I'm not the only writer in the world who practices weird creativity inspiring rituals. It's all worth it though.
We basket cases need to stick together.
I've written 5 novels (if you count the first one, which I did when I was 13 and which, though 64,000 words and therefore technically novel-length, is still pretty crappy). It doesn't seem to get any easier with each one...I would say that the easiest to write was probably the third. And, eh, they're all in various states of unfinishedhood, but the second is the best and the fourth is the worst (in terms of plot...the writing HAS improved, thank God). Sooo...eh. It's so hard to know.
So, I've somewhat recently discovered your incredibly entertaining YouTube channel, which led me to your equally entertaining blog. It seems that we share a love of/obsession with Harry Potter and theatre, and the references you often make to both always make me smile. And to reiterate what others have been saying: when you do publish a book, I will certainly read it.
Also, I'm going to extend the love of/obession with similarities to Degrassi as well. I love it, even though it is kind of terrible at the same time.
There is so much I want to say in this comment! I've been reading all your blog posts, but I have never commented before...
Miss Hoover, you really are an inspiration. You a witty, charismatic, intelligent and so full of awesome. And despite how weird it may sound to say thanks for writing about your day... in a blog... just so I can read it... well, thanks anyway ;) :P
I concur with regular BlogTV shows! I missed the last one because I am too fail to realise these things in enough time, but I promise I will make sure to pay more attention to twitterific. Or at least try!
Can I request things? I shall anyway and then you can just tell me to buzz off if need be! Being part of the British population deprives me of burritos as you may well know, so how would you describe its awesome taste through means of (I would like to say through interpretive dance like you have done for many a thing before, but I will save you the hassle of making a pointless video) a poem, maybe?
I'm going to leave before you start thinking i'm the Mark Mcleod to your Miley Cyrus! LOL. Again, thanks for all you do HayleyG!
No I missed the BlogTV show. So disappoint. I really need to invest in this Twitter thing but it is just not popular over here one bit.
And you should totally read some of your book on BlogTV
Oh! http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2703723264/nm2337393
She really does look like meekakitty, doesn't she?
I'd just like to point out that when one googles "hayleyghoover" three things come up
1.hayleyghoover video
2. hayleyghoover blog
3. hayleyghoover BOYFRIEND
well well ms.hoover! it seems that there is quite a bit of intrigue as to your relationship status!
I didn't even know that you had a BlogTV show. Dang. I can just imagine the fun that ensues when talking about Degrassi for 3 hours.
Ya know Hayley, we used to be friends you and I. Then you left High School. This makes me very sad. However, it is very good to see you are writing an OBSCENE amount of literature. What ever the case, we were Accidently In Love.
