Ricecake

I flopped onto my bed this evening with little to no intention of blogging. I could think of nothing to say. There are some things on my mind, but I don't feel like elaborating on any of them. The sparknotes version:

--Tomorrow morning, I pick up Leah and Amanda to start off my week of hanging out with out-of-town guests.
--I just bought most of my dorm stuff, and it's all purple and black and cute.
--I'm getting my hair done on Thursday, so the pink may or may not be done.
--Jess and her family got in a car accident on their way home from vacation, and I found out about it an hour after I dreamt that she died. She's fine, but I still haven't calmed down.
--I like my class schedule for the fall quarter a lot; I don't have any classes before 10AM, and only one on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
--A few minutes ago, after I watched Bo Burnham's little info vlog about his tour, I accidentally said, to my computer, aloud, "I love you." Like, quietly and sincerely. I told Bo Burnham, whom I've never met, through a screen, that I love him. If you're creeped out, SO AM I.
--I want another chocolate ricecake.

Other than that, I'm fresh out of entertainment value for tonight. This ricecake is stale, but I'm content now.

That's so weird about Jess! This event coupled with your Michael Jackson prediction can lead to the only logical conclusion...you have precognition...
It also very Molly Weasley v. Bogart of you though.

Changed your mind on the cheetah-print bedset then? :P

The pink is cute, but real rebels do it with their mind, not their appearance. Just sayin'.

I saw Bo Burnham at the movies earlier this summer, in person. I had a small fangirl freakout, but when he walked by again was compelled to fumble around in my purse so he didn't know I was staring at him. awkward...

The "I love you." thing made me laugh. Sad to say, I've done similar things in the past.

Even your sparknotes provide sparks to make us feel special. (:

God, that was an awful pun...

It's nice to hear that you fangirl people and say/think weird things about people you've never met.

It makes me feel better about committing similar actions while watching your videos (and reading your blogs of course!).

It's probably those chocolate rice cakes giving you those weird ass dreams. Get that boyfriend of yours to feed you something decent> :)

Come on Hayley give me something to work with here. Going to see the fire works show?

Ya insanity runs in the family--just deal with it.

And you talk to your computer.

That's so scary about Jess and the car accident, glad to hear that she's alright.

Rice Cakes are amazing, and chocolate rice cakes sound even better, I will have to get some now (Well not now cause it's almost 2am, but tomorrow).

Trust me Hayley If Bo knew that, it would make his day...

I think it's creepier that I found your confession to Bo via your computer TOTALLY NOT AT ALL CREEPY IN ANY WAY. I was like, "Wait... where's the punchline?"

Purple and black are a good combination, but the first thing that comes to mind when I hear those colors are the Baltimore Ravens, ha ha. It's good to hear that Jess and her family are okay, but I'll definitely be praying for them nevertheless. Good luck with everything at OU, btw, but most importantly, just enjoy being a Bobcat! God bless you, Hayley. :)

Oh Hayley, your blogs are always entertaining! I find myself waiting for your blog posts as though they are upcoming epsiodes in a favourite TV drama...

And that's nearly as creepy as talking to Bo Burnham through your screen to let him know you love him. Although I can guarantee that you are not the only person who's done that.

Awesome as always

DFTBA!

One of my best friends got in a car accident on my 18th birthday. He had a seizure and rolled his car 4 times while driving 75 with the cruise control on...broke his neck. Not fatally nor paralytically (he's fine, though in a brace), but it was scary. Fortunately I didn't know how serious it was till AFTER the birthday.

I had the same feeling that Maragaret had. I totally felt creepier than your confession to Bo. Hmph.

I know how you feel being terrified by your best friend. My best friend since kindergarten called my house from the ICU one time. My heart almost stopped. In fact that was over a year ago and I haven't gotten over it. She was relatively fine despite a head on collision.

And I think best friends have a freakish connection b/c when Jocie called, my mom answered the phone and I immediately knew it was Jocie AND that she was in the hospital.

So I bet you and Jess have the same sort of connection.

It's okay. Bo Burnham is amazing. I do the same thing.

Your mention of dreaming about your friend Jess reminded me that apparently my great-grandfather had interesting dreams.
He would dream an event such as his son being in a car crash. Later, he would find that someone got into a car accident who had the same kind of car as his son, and some other event happened to his son.
Their family had a general store with a big open front that had a large glass window. He dreamed that a car came through the window and killed his daughter who was playing there. They sold the store, but not long after his daughter fell off a stool, hit her head, and died. Also, a car did crash through the front window of the store after it was under new ownership.
Strange stuff.

Wait, I love Bo Burnham, too. And I am SO going to his show in Minneapolis. I WILL GO ALONE IF I MUST.

When I saw Bo Burnham's new video I told him that I wanted to have his children. Yours might be less creepy. And I hope you enjoyed your chocolate rice cake. Once I had a peanut butter and chocolate one and it was not very appetizing.

Also...this is my first comment and I was so nervous writing it out for some odd reason.

You seem to always have some connection to these kinds of things... It's like you're a psychic! Yes, you're a psychic.

Speaking of psychic, have you ever heard the West End production of Rent Remixed? It was so awful. They made Take me of Leave Me all poppy and Today for You techno and it was all so... notsome.

Btw, my segue up there made no sense, but I need some connection between those two paragraphs. Oh, they made Contact all psychadelic. I guess that can count as making sense?

Not gonna lie, I'm also guilty of creeping on Bo. He's just so clever all the time that it makes me love him.

everyone loves bo.
i feel the same exact way. when i watched it i yelled, OH MY GOD IF YOU DONT COME TO DETROIT I WILL DIE. and then he did.

1. College, yay!
2. Me and my friends sometimes see Bo Burnham around since we live in the same area, but he doesn't like being recognized in public. I know some guys who are friends with him, and it's neat to think I know him by association. :D
3.) If you ever come to Massachusetts, I can TRY to get him and you a meeting. Well, it's more likely than wandering around the local mall. :)
