5 Amusing Things

Five things to amuse you tonight:

1. Bread turtle. I found this little guy somewhere on the internet (sorry, original creator-- I don't know who to credit) and thought you needed to see him.

2. The first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was released today. It's up to you whether or not you're ready to watch it, but I'm interested to hear your thoughts if you've seen it!

3. A picture of me at, what, five years old? Compliments of my mother. Enjoy.

4. I heard today that, apparently, ten people are killed each year by vending machines? I have absolutely no confidence that this is real, but I still appreciate the fact that someone made the rumor up. I hope none of you have been personally affected by vending machine massacres. My thoughts are with your family.

5. An old favorite video. Try not to be overcome with adoration for the adorable.

I hope you all have a lovely day, and I'll see you guys tomorrow!

I loved the trailer! I'm going to be at LeakyCon with two of my friends, and it's going to be amazing!

Also that mememolly video was adorable!!

Mmmm, bread turtle. Turtle bread? Either way: mmmmm.

As for the DH part II trailer . . . There were definitely some tears in my eyes. Basically, I'm stoked.

Haven't you seen the 30 Rock episode where the vending machine falls on Pete? This first exposed me to the trials and tribulations that vending machines can cause, and I find it not at all surprising that they actually kill people.

As you can see, I'm quite a rational person, who bases her ideas about what is truthful on old episodes of an NBC program.

Harry what?
I havent seen any of the movies nor did I read the books.

I thought that thing was over and that they already finished making all the movies about it.

I do like bread though. :)

How did you lose .5 of a burrito?

To be honest, I don't love the trailer. I wanted it to me way more compelling & goosebumps-inducing. perhaps I'm just salty because THIS IS THE LAST HARRY POTTER OF ALL TIME, EVER? Maybe that. Also, I sort of secretly (or not) wish it were titled "Harry Potter & the Battle for Hogwarts." Or something. But it still looks more fast-paced than part one, a.k.a. "Harry Potter & the Long Camping Trip."

You make one adorable princess.

Also, THE TRAILER. I have nothing but positive feelings about this movie.

I can say that I am so pumped for the movie. The trailer was so good.

I am so excited for DH2, but am I the only one that has no recollection of Harry and Voldy cliff-diving?

1. I want the bread turtle. What the hell its so freaking cute ahhh.

2. I was literally shaking through the preview. Absolute chills.

3. SO adorable!

4. Apparently people shake the machines.. the machines fall on them..and then they die. Also, apparently people reach up into the machines, get bit by crazy venomous spiders.. and then die. Two ways I've heard that story.

5. Will watch now.

I loved the trailer. However Harry Potter has been a part of my life for 11 years. That's half my life. Ergo I have very mixed feelings about this movie. I want to see it so bad but am dreading the end credits.

I am going to make the best of this final film by abstaining from all trailers and as many promotional images as I can get away from. This is going to be tough, but I feel I have to do it for this one last time.
As for the vending machines... yeah
That video almost made me pee. Thank you Hayley haha.

I am definitely not ready to watch the DH2 trailer. I'm too emotionally stressed out from schoolwork to even think about the end of the HP movies. I seriously don't think I'm going to be able to handle watching any previews or trailers for this movie. I just get too emotional.

In other news, you succeeded in amusing me despite my frazzled psychological state of distress. So, thanks!

Super excited for Deathly Hallows Part 2, and I loved the trailer except for how they included Hedwig's Theme. It was completely absent from the last film, and whether it was because of Hedwig's death, or because previously in the films it was used to signify something cool and extra-magical or a feeling of safety and there was no such feeling in Part 1, I don't know. But they should have left it out for the trailer as well.

About the trailer: The absolute BEST part was the tiny clip of Molly Weasley and Bellatrix dueling! Oh, and that part at the beginning of little Lily and Petunia in the park with the flower... Yeah.

And about the video: WHY DOES IT REMIND ME SO MUCH OF LAUREN LOPEZ MALFOY FROM A VERY POTTER MUSICAL/SEQUEL? That was all I was thinking the entire time.

Deaths by vending machine were contrasted to death by wolf attack in an episode of West Wing. I don't think it's 10, but I think it's a couple of people every year. It might be ten in the world, but I'd suspect it's actually more. But yes, it's a genuine thing. I think it was also in one of those Darwin Awards books.

Bread turtles used to be the first thing that came up if I tried googling my full name, because some little girl somewhere with my name got in her town's paper for making them. They look delicious, but I don't appreciate sharing my google-space with them. :P

And you are so adorable in that picture!!

I was reading the comments on the HP trailer. I spotted on that said "so...I guess that's Mr. Wealey dead there *insert time of clip*". Um, say what? Sigh...I asked them if they read the book...I'm guessing not.

Also, that puppy video was really cute.

About the trailer. It's good, not actually as good as I thought I'd be, but still good. Questions:
- Why does Voldemort keep using some kind of mating call through the entire trailer?
- Did they just jump off a cliff?

Otherwise good, yeah.

From now on, I'm only gonna eat turtle bread (no, that's gross... bread turtle, yeah that's way better).

And now to the interesting part:

Thanks for telling us about the trailer! I didn't know it was coming out yesterday...anyway, I shivered and almost cried after the first time, but it was probably because all the memories from the last book came back to me. Actually, after having seen it like five times in the last 10 minutes, I would say that I'm a little scared... There are some things I definitely don't wanna see on screen, as Deathly Hallows is my favourite from the series and, you know, don't want the movie spoiling the story as it did with most of the other books.

Also, when on earth does Harry grab Voldy and make him fall off a cliff?

In response to the trailer, I guess I don't remember the part in the books where it became Harry Potter: The Two Towers. I just feel that if you find the final book worth breaking into two parts, you should try to be at least semi-faithful to the BOOK. The Dumbledore story wasn't touched on in the preview, but I expect it will be later. The Helm's deep look of the final battle outside the castle along with the cliff dive make me think that I will ultimately be disappointed with the final offering of the movie series.

Though I'm excited for the final HP movie, I'm sad like others. I was already an adult in my 20's when the first book came out, but it saved my life. Instead of making a permanent bad choice, I ended up reading a book I thought was for kids and never looked back. Now that there are no more books and the final movie is about to come out, I am balancing all the feelings I've had about my life since opening the first book. Wow, way too intense...at least I get to eat sweet potato tots when watching the final movie!

Hey, Hayley. I rarely comment on your blog posts because I feel as if I've nothing to say, most of the time.
But after 28 days of reading your blog every day this month I also feel close to you, in a way. It's such a fun experience :)
I've seen you do BEDA the last couple times, and it's always good -- for example, when you blogged about the obligation versus quality dilemma,.I think it brings the best of your blogging, because you have such a faithful audience!

My mind was blown by the DH trailer. I wanted to have a spoiler free experience, but I'm too curious! I was a little disappointed because there was too much action, and I wanted a peak of the kiss (or the seconds before it), but Voldemort's voiceover was brilliant.

The Deathly Hallows trailer has dramatically improved the quality of my week/month/year, as most Potter-related things tend to do. I need to know WTF was up with that Harry/Voldemort jump, but other than that, it was absolutely wonderful. I can tell they're going to do The Prince's Tale well, and that makes me happy.

And for some reason, that bread turtle looks like the most delicious bread that I've ever seen.

I am really excited for DH 2! I am fairly disenchanted by most of the HP movies, but I genuinely loved DH 1, and I'm hoping that DH 2 is even better.

Tiny Hayley is adorable.

And yeah, apparently vending machines have a tendency to fall on top of people who shake them when stuff gets stuck! I think that would be a really awful way to die. :(

Love you Hayley! :D

All I have to say to this is thank you for the link to the trailer. I wish I could afford to go to leakycon. :(

THE TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!! That explains why last night was so exciting and tonight is just bleh. I liked that broken hedwig's theme at the beginning (apologizing for my grammar). However, the Voldemort and Harry jumping of into a ravine...But tears with Fred, Tonks/Lupin. OH AND LILY AND PETUNIA! Gosh!!!! I watched it today on my teacher's smart board and projector with surround sound.

Vending machines. Once...reaching for a poptart out of one of those, I suddenly felt that someone had Hit me in the head with a metal baseball bat. Actually it was just a chunk of metal that fell off the top of the vending machine. WHY?!. I didn't die, but there may be some brain damage.

I am going to hate the way they've done the Harry/Voldemort showdown.

I'm still excited to see the movie, but the "let's finish this the way we started: together" moment is one of the stupidest things these movies have come up with.

Mememolly!

When multi-level marketing, only set forth your main product information which means your buyers will not feel confused. By listing only the main info, you should have a greater chance of your prospects comprehending your product's message. The consumers will come to you afterwards with further more queries if they are intrigued, and this will supply you with a opportunity to cut down on marketing fees too.
